Just click our name in green:  Kandrac & Kole to vote for us!

You can vote every day until March 15th.  It is very easy and only takes a couple of minutes!

Selection of Semi-Finalist:

Judge’s choice for New Trad:  The entrants will be reviewed by the judges who will select nine who best define a New Trad.

Reader’s Choice for New Trad:  The semi-finalist with the most votes by the end of the semi-finalist voting period is deemed the “Reader’s Choice New Trad”.

Our submission showcases 8 of our projects and our thoughts on our personal design point of view, our proudest accomplishments, how we give back to our community and our design backgrounds.

We feel very honored to be amongst some amazing design talent throughout the country and are very lucky to have many of them as friends.  Please also check out their work and if you feel inclined, vote for them as well.  Click the name and it will take you to their entry:

ANN MAINE TRADITIONAL HOME EDITOR IN CHIEF

As editor in chief since 2002, Ann Maine has directed Traditional Home’s evolution to create a fresh, vibrant look and editorial content that’s appealingly classic, but modern. She and her team cover trends in home design and lifestyle influences, featuring the nation’s most innovative designers and architects, from offices in New York and Des Moines. Beginning her career as a newspaper writer, Maine switched gears early to become a design editor and has been a staff member at several national publications. She and her husband, Mike, reside in Des Moines, where they recently moved from a 1907 Tudor Revival to a mid-century condo. Traditional? Yes. Predictable? Never.

JENNY BRADLEY TRADHOME MAGAZINE EDITOR

Jenny Bradley has contributed to Traditional Home magazine since 2000, and now serves as the magazine’s senior design and lifestyle editor—sharing with readers beautiful interiors and designs that are both classic yet modern, sophisticated yet attainable. She is also the editor of TRADhome, Traditional Home magazine’s digital spinoff that features 100% original content created for the internet-fluent generation of design lovers. In her 15-plus years in publishing, Jenny has worked as a contributor for several other design publications, including British House & Garden and Better Homes & Gardens.

TORI MELLOTT TRADITIONAL HOME SENIOR DESIGN EDITOR

Tori started her career at House Beautiful and Elle Décor, before becoming decorating editor at Domino Magazine. From there, Mellott branched out and became the Creative Deputy for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia where she oversaw the design direction for all Martha Stewart product and licensees. After Martha, Tori explored yet another avenue in design and joined Nate Berkus for his first year of production of The Nate Show. Eager to return to publishing, Tori joined the amazing team at Traditional Home in 2011 and is the senior design and market editor.

KRISSA ROSSBUND TRADITIONAL HOME SENIOR STYLE EDITOR

Krissa Rossbund feels right at home at Traditional Home. After all, it’s the magazine where she started her career and has evolved from staff intern to Senior Style Editor. Her expertise ranges from showhouses to entertaining, and most important, families with timeless and beautiful dwellings. An authority on entertaining, she frequently speaks to crowds about the resurgence of hosting gatherings at-home, and helps her audiences develop rituals that will create memories for their families.

ALEXA HAMPTON MARK HAMPTON, LLC INTERIOR DESIGNER

Alexa Hampton is the president and featured designer of Mark Hampton, LLC—the design firm founded by her late father, Mark Hampton. Under her direction, the firm has completed a wide range of designs for domestic and international projects, including apartments and large residences, private airplanes, and yachts. Her involvement in design goes far beyond her position at Mark Hampton, LLC; she is on the board of trustees for the New York School of Interior Design, the New York Landmarks Conservancy, and the Institute for Classical Architecture. Over the years, Hampton’s work has been featured in many national and international shelter and design magazines.
