Last weekend I had the most sinful, delectable, relaxing weekend in Kiawah, SC (just outside Charleston) with one of my dear friends from college. God forbid I leave my camera or my discerning eye for design at home. One evening, we went to the private club Cassique for dinner. The symmetry of the exterior architecture sets the tone right off the top.

Then it continues in all the details inside like on this perfect custom made seating area on the staircase landing .......

I love all the facilities within the Kiawah Island Club but this evening, the symmetry in design at Cassique just caught my eye.  Think how much patience you'd need to put together this vintage golf club design.

Every lounge, dining area, locker room, viewing room, is not only impeccably designed but the overall symmetry of each space creates a feeling of peace, beauty and calm. Can you imagine a wedding party getting ready in this scrumptious ladies locker room?
