Rethink Your Doors!

When I was in college, my parents moved to a really cool house that had these old world style interior doors that had come from an old castle. I am a big proponent of the thinking that you are only as good as what you've been exposed to - you can't appreciate or desire things that you've never been exposed to right?Well this week, Joann and I had the privilege of being part of a select number of designers, builders and architects that were invited by Insidesign to tour the Koetter Woodworking plant in Borden, Indiana.  Watching beautiful, custom doors, flooring and millwork created from the log was fascinating. Why have the typical french doors when you could have this?

Personally,  I get a bigger thrill out of interesting, custom made interior doors than I do exterior doors.

Don't you think that kids need their own doors?

And pets? (Yes, this is a screen door with a dog door in the middle)

And Mom's?

And bookworms?

Now we are all better for being exposed to the wonder of doors!
