Creative Coping Mechanisms

I'm thrilled to report that 2011 is off to a roaring start for Kandrac & Kole Interior Designs. With this of course comes a good 'ol healthy dose of stress. What's a girl to do to cope?Besides my favorite friend Pinot Grigio and a nice strong down dog pose, I turn to those odiferous pleasures that calm the nerves. My favorite? Archipelago Candles.  Now when I purchase a candle, I'm willing to make an investment. But I have a few prerequisites: a) it must smell up at least one entire floor of my house b) it must last at least 50 hours c) I prefer if it burns flat on top and d) if given a choice, I like two wicks over one. I'm not a fan of any scent that smells like desserts or resembles cleaning products.Last weekend I was at the Susanqua Spa in Kiawah, SC (yup -girlfriends escape - another coping mechanism) and the ladies restroom smelled like one gorgeous gardenia. So... I chose the Savannah candle - a blend of Jasmine and Gardenia.  It's clean and fresh and "pretty" (and will always remind me of that glorious day at the Spa).

I was reaching for the Charleston - an intoxicating blend of Hyacinth, White Jasmine and Tuberose (oh be still my heart) but I'll save that for Springtime.

Oh but maybe I will plan on the Ribbons of Love assortment - a fresh fragrance blend of Pink Grapefruit, Clementine and Pomelo created by the women of Archipelago in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.

They are pink after all - like everything K&K:)
