Everyday Design from the Highpoint Market

I love my job. I love creating designs with a twist - giving our clients exactly what they asked for but with materials, textiles, and colors they would have never thought of on their own. Trecking thru showroom after showroom over the course of four days at the Highpoint Furniture Market gives us the resources we need to WOW our clients!

Most of the products we see are your everyday items - lamps, chairs, linens, art etc. - but with a definite injection of YUMMY!

Take for example, these "perching benches" from Pearson Furniture. When you need extra seating but cannot afford to give up the visual or physical space of a full size chair - these are the perfect remedy (and soooo comfortable).

If you haven't heard about the new industrial revolution in all the magazines and catalogs, here's a newsflash: it's HERE! Currey & Company does it in a very sophisticated way.

Wouldn't this settee look great in a large foyer, a keeping room or even a nursery? I love the new wood finish from Sam Moore.

Wing chairs were everywhere at Highpoint but always with a graceful departure from the traditional style. C.R. Laine has wonderful frame styles and fabrics as usual!

Who doesn't love all things American? Throw in a few starfish, and you've got YUMMY from Karen Robertson.

We all know that a few key throw pillows can refresh a sofa and update the look of a room. But where to find the perfect pillow in current colors and patterns that aren't over the top with fringes and fancy? Ryan Studios!

Hide rugs were everywhere as well at market this year. I love these easy hide patterns from Loloi.

This handsome coffee table or large ottoman (with hidden storage inside no less) was one of our favorites at Uttermost.

The holidays are approaching - call us if you need some everyday design with a twist in YOUR home!
