Secrets from Scott's Antique Market
We're feeling pretty guilty that not all of our readers get to have fun meandering thru Scott's Antique Market like we do every month. So we figured we better start sharing some good scoop. After all, we want to support our creative artisan friends who are working hard to make a living.
First up - our friends Steven and Nancy, owners of SDS Designs. Steven makes custom furniture to order from wood, zinc and metal and hoofs it up from Bradenton, Florida every month to sell his gorgeous creations at Scott's. For years Steven worked as a Homicide Detective in FL but hung up his badge to follow his passion so we hope you will support him.
This table and bench he made from reclaimed wood from an old bowling alley.
Steven makes very cool lighting as well.
What to do with Balinese fishing boats when they are retired from the water? Well, a creative group out of Hickory, NC has figured out what to do. We LOVED the benches, bookcase, wine racks and wall decor that Warehouse2120 creates with these old boats!
The paint is original to the boats and left as is making for a colorful collage of history!
We have been working on several outdoor projects, so we loved the work of Jason Tedder of J. Tedder Design. Jason reclaims old machinery pieces from his family's farm and makes them into these beauties.
P.S. To several of our clients reading this - yes we bought you lots of goodies but we aren't sharing them here - it's still a surprise for your REVEAL DAY:)
