I've written several blogs on my experiences at Serenbe (to check them out, click HERE) and the opportunities to boast about this amazing community just continue! This time I traveled to Palmetto to check out the Bosch Net Zero Model Home. (Ok well, to be honest, I really went to tour the HGTV Green Home designed by my buddy Steve Kemp, but wandered past this house and was so thrilled!)

This 1,650 square foot home features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and was built by Mac McKinney. Featuring the style and design of Jill Sharp Brinson and furnishings by Ballard Designs, the Bosch Net Zero Model Home proves that sustainable living is not just responsible, it’s stylish as well. I'm talkin' seriously stylish - I LOVED it!  The entire house was earthy-friendly but in a very cool way - cozy, hip but organic. I wish I could start my house from scratch and decorate like this.

 I literally gasped when I saw this spring green bedroom. GIVE IT TO ME!

I loved the bathroom too. I never think to do super simple window dressings like this.

We designed a swing like this recently for a client (hee hee  ours was better) but this one was still great!

Open shelving in kitchens is prominent in the design magazines these days and I really liked the look in this home!

Who knew twigs could looks so good? I love the batik fabric hung behind the headboards to give height and drama (in an organic way) to the room - very clever!!

 My dining room is so formal. UGHHHH - I'd much rather have something like this instead of a whole fancy room I never even go in to.

 The Bosch Net Zero Model Home will be open for complimentary tours Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through July.  After the tours close, the home will be available for purchase beginning at $499,000 unfurnished.
