I Love this Fabric!

I have two "grown up" rooms in my house and my living room is one of them. I call this room my "Harry Potter" room because of these family portraits I inherited that date back to the 1700's.  The room is filled with antiques I have inherited and isn't really my style anymore, but I cherish every piece in this room.

My living room has a large arched window that has rotted and needs to be replaced. Ugghhhh -  I hate spending money on that kind of stuff!  But then it occurred to me that there is a silver lining here -  if I have to take down the window treatment so the window can be replaced, does it really have to go back up? I mean, I don't really love this room so maybe I could jazz it up with some new fabric (and get rid of that ugly tree while I'm at it)?

I quickly put these thoughts aside - I've got bigger fish to fry after all.

THEN what happens? I'm minding my own business and I get an unexpected package in the mail. My wonderful Schumacher fabric rep, Karen, has sent me a little tingle.

The Nurata Embroidery pattern is adapted from an antique piece of a traditional Central Asian embroidery design. It is one of the prettiest fabrics I've ever laid my eyes on! It's traditional enough to suite this space but has a modern interpretation that I love.

Look at it up close:

I mean, seriously, check it out with this little boudoir chair that was my Grandmother's:

So should I pull the trigger?
