Coastal Living's Favorite Homes of 2012

In case you haven’t seen it, Coastal Living has compiled a list of their favorite homes from 2012.   The article can be found HERE. I don’t know how they did it, but they are all absolutely breath-taking. I’m sure they had an impossible time choosing the top 12, which is going to make choosing our top 5 even harder! Here it goes!

Number One: Go Green

From the distressed green island with the super cool wine storage, to the gingham ceiling, to the vintage plates, we’re obsessed. This room is the definition of eye candy, and we love it!

Number Two: Blue & White, Just Right

This master bedroom is what dreams are made of! The crisp white ceiling and walls that meet the natural wood flooring makes the room feel so open and fresh. The various shades of blue in the window treatment are unexpected and give the room a cheerful personality!

Number Three: Homage to the Past

Since we’ve mentioned once or twice  how much we love painting wood paneling, it just totally changes the look and feel of a room. This space feels so whimsical with the subtle nautical hints and the fun pops of red.

Number Four: Nod to Nautical

The unique shape of the island with the natural wood top is a showstopper and the oversized brass-and-copper pendants are it’s perfect compliment. The whole room gives the feeling of being on a sailboat, making you feel like you’re on vacation while in the kitchen!

Number Five: Broader Appeal

We have to admit, we’re kind of crazy about these cute little rooms with bunk beds, and from the looks of it this cozy room has all the bells and whistles for a perfect sleepover. From the sweet little art framed above each bed, to the perfect reading lights with individual switches, this room is every little man’s dream!
