Spice Up Your Steps
A few days ago, we posted a flight of inspirational hand painted stairs as our “Happy Image of the Day” on Facebook, click HERE to visit our page and like us. It really got me thinking that stairs are a focal point in so many houses, and maybe we just don’t take full advantage of that space! There are so many unique ways to spice up those “so-so” stairs of yours, and here are some of our favorites!
Of course these mediterranean inspired stairs from the 2012 cover of Serena and Lily stole my heart! I love a good mix of prints, especially in navy and white!
For a runner that you NEVER have to vacuum, try painting a bold stripe down the center of your stairs! It's a perfect pop of color! We love the emerald green on this runner (design by Melanie Turner Interiors).
We have already admitted that we are slightly obsessed with turquoise and orange HERE, and HERE. These awesome steps are just fanning our fire! I love the crisp look of the stenciled white patterns! We found this gem on About.com's Home Renovations!
Want to treat your guests to an entryway surprise? These simple steps from Sixty-Fifth Avenue are sure to have everyone smiling!
We couldn’t leave out these beauties from Jonathan Adler! Not only are the shades of blue calming and playful, the rope handrail adds to the nautical flair!
If you’re really feeling jazzy, these super cool piano steps from Inspiration Green are sure to having you singing every time you go up the stairs!
Now, my stairs look just plain sad! Are you bold enough to paint your steps?
