The options are endless especially if you are willing to step outside the ordinary. Here's a run-down of the 10 tile trends to be on the look out for in 2014.
1. Metal Tile- Nothing says industrial chic like a stainless steel backsplash!
2. Mock-Wood Tile- Tile that looks like wood has had a major facelift. It is now stylish and great in moist environments like kitchens and bathrooms!
3. Matchstick- Slim and slender is ideal for a modern space.
4. Subway Tile- This classic shape has been revived in new colors and sizes. This one is striking in honed black!
5. Hexagon Tiles- Everything old is new again! You can't go wrong with a classic!
6. Mixed Media- This is the perfect tile for someone who likes a little bit of everything! The combination of glass, natural stone, and metal make for a textured trio.
7. Gray Grout- If you are a fan of the traditional white subway tile, try adding a dark gray grout for a refreshed look!
8. Glass Tile- Try honed glass, it still has an airy vibe without being too shiny!
9. Geometric Patterns- Laying traditional shaped tiles in new patterns has been gaining momentum!
10. Gray, Gray Gray- From solid to mosaic, gray is officially the new neutral!
