ANN MAINE

TRADITIONAL HOME

EDITOR IN CHIEF

As editor in chief since 2002, Ann Maine has directed Traditional Home's evolution to create a fresh, vibrant look and editorial content that's appealingly classic, but modern. She and her team cover trends in home design and lifestyle influences, featuring the nation's most innovative designers and architects, from offices in New York and Des Moines. Beginning her career as a newspaper writer, Maine switched gears early to become a design editor and has been a staff member at several national publications. She and her husband, Mike, reside in Des Moines, where they recently moved from a 1907 Tudor Revival to a mid-century condo. Traditional? Yes. Predictable? Never.
