The Best Christmas Gift is a Book

I have spent a lifetime of summers in Westhampton and Quogue, New York. Memories of long boat rides, crabbing off the dock, snapper fishing, salty hair and sun kissed skin, tall hedges and generations of families loving the Hamptons are part of my being. So when my childhood friend and photographer John Andrulis published his latest book Water, Wood, Sand & StonesI was quick to purchase it!

So back to my friend John...

I have to giggle a little bit when I look at this serious photo of John and then think back to all the mischievous times our gang had in high school... Sigh.... I guess you have to grow up some time.....

Water, Wood, Sand & Stones is a hardcover, signed and numbered edition of 500 books.  312 pages,  shot on black & white film with duotone printing.

P.S.  GORGEOUS on a coffee table.

Water, Wood, Sand & Stones is a photographic celebration of the natural and small-town beauty that exists between the towns of Westhampton and Montauk - a roughly 60-mile stretch of farms, forests, pristine beaches, tree-lined neighborhoods, estate homes and idyllic, white-washed Main Street buildings on the eastern end of Long Island, New York.

Every summer, my family and I spend a day leaving the country clubs in Westhampton behind to drive to the relaxed, surfer haven that is Montauk. I enjoy every bit of that picturesque, charming drive year after year. I'm thrilled that John has captured these images in his latest book.
