Ep 104 - How to Choose Finishes for Your Home

See this content in the original post

As we discussed in our last episode about renovating vs. buying, Joann and I have spent the better part of the previous ten years making selections for renovations and new builds. Finishing touches are a daunting task when you aren’t in the business, so we thought we’d share some of our wisdom by chatting with Stacy Wray, our rep extraordinaire at ProSource Wholesale Marietta, Georgia. Stacy talks about being brave when it comes to your flooring, adding tiles to the walls, and the challenges that manufacturers face during the pandemic.

In This Episode:

  • [02:20] Stacy talks about her background and how she landed a job with ProSouce Wholesale.

  • [06:10] Need durable and robust flooring? We highly recommend checking out COREtec floors.

  • [11:10] Textures on tiles are a great way to add dimension to design.

  • [18:10] There's so much going on in cabinetry; finally, there are green options!

  • [22:40] All about the current Covid challenges in the manufacturing industry.

Key Takeaways:

  • Be brave when it comes to your flooring. Choose a bold color or texture to add some life to your home design.

  • Don’t be afraid to let tile climb on the walls! You can have an entire wall of tile in the bathroom or laundry room – it’s so gorgeous.

  • It's fun to see people taking chances with their flooring; you realize that you really can't go wrong.

  • During Covid, manufacturers have been running out of materials; if you are doing a remodel, prepare to be on backorder.
