Laundry Day

I spent last weekend doing laundry in a HUGE way.  Business trips, kids camps and a weekend at the lake created 10 loads of laundry (in my mack Daddy capacity machines!).  Thankfully, I like doing laundry (laundry baskets full of dirty clothes really gross me out) and my laundry room is pretty darn cute.

I do realize, however, that I could be much more creative in the organization/storage department. I love the clean, fresh, organized feel of this yellow laundry room.

Maybe I should get rid of those stupid wire shelves and use something more creative to store my laundry "stuff". Maybe my mom still has my old dollhouse.....

Even though I'm tight on space, I could probably make my laundry room more multi- functional. Crafts? Homework bins? Wrapping station?

A TV in the laundry room?  I think this might just be my next little treat to myself.

I think I got the bold color thing down pat.

My laundry room is off my kitchen and the door is always open.  Maybe I should hide my washer/dryer behind some pretty cabinets like this.

Growing up, we had a laundry chute (I wonder if my Mom every knew my sister and I used the chute instead of the stairs). Anyway, maybe if I had one of these, my kids could figure out how to pick up their dirty clothes off the floor!
