Farewell Summertime
"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world."-- Ada Louise Huxtable
This year, I had the pleasure of visiting my family in Westhampton one last time because I was in NYC for the 2010 Business of Design Conference. I was excited to bring my friend Dina for the first time so that she could par take in the wild and crazy Murray household and enjoy the beauty of this area.
Tonight we took the boat down the "crick" at supper time for a quick round of snapper fishing with the kids. While my Dad prepared the bamboo rods and baited all the hooks, Dina poured the wine and (as usual) I took lots of photographs.
Dina caught her very first snapper and was very proud!
I'm always enamored by the quiet and stillness of the marshes and the gorgeous homes sitting on the bay.
Nice images to end a peaceful summer....
