"Living With What You Love"

I saw this chair in a blog called Absolutely Beautiful Things about Anna Spiro who made this chair to celebrate her son's first year.  She covered this tiny vintage chair in plain white canvas and let his older brother Harry draw all over it with fabric pens.  On the back a special note was attached.  She is hoping it is something he cherishes and keeps forever.

It made me think about how important it is to have "meaningful" things in your home.  Here are some examples:

This is a gallery of sterling silver trays passed down through generations with photos of the family.

How about young children's art?  Not only is it meaningful to you but shows your child you care enough to "display" his talents!

To me, meaningful items in your home are things you look at that make you smile.  Photos of places you've visited can bring back great memories.

Every home needs a bit of "whimsy" - something that you remember about your home when you were young.  I wish I had a place for this.

As you look around your home, remember that your things don't all have to be beautiful, but more importantly,  "mean something".

At the end of the day......
