Sentimental Christmas Ornaments
As a designer, I feel like I should have this amazingly creative, themed Christmas tree in my home. I'd actually love a pink tree (surprise). Then year after year, I pull out my ornaments, all with a story or a memory attached and I just can't stray from tradition.
My most precious ornament is one my Dad gave me. It is an ornament that he hung on this tree as a child (always at the very tippy top).
Another favorite (I actually have 5 of these - 2 dogs and 3 cats) were hand painted by a dear friend of my Mom's. This one is of my dog Lilly.
This one is of my dog Macy...
Of course I have many made by Emory and Riley when they were little - so sweet!
This one was made out of clay by my cousin Liz's best friend 16 years ago. I love the holly bow in Emory's hair and Mike's little glasses.
This Santa has been meticulously hand painted on a hand blown egg.
Last year in lieu of gifts, we flew to St. Kitts on Christmas Day! I highly recommend breaking tradition in this way!
These are my daughter Riley's favorites - courting frogs!
Others just simply remind me of home.....
So what's on YOUR tree?
