Lucy and Ethel??
I've been asked me to re-post this blog I wrote a couple of years ago. This is for those who have asked and for all of our new clients and friends!!
Kelly and I became business partners in August of 2005. Although we are similar in many ways, we were not looking for a clone of ourselves as a business partner, rather a person whose skills and strengths fill the gap of our own.
There have been many times we have felt like Lucy and Ethel – loading up our cars at our storage facility, breaking something at an install, or getting into trouble spending too much at TJ Maxx. No matter what trouble we get ourselves into, we always end up laughing so hard we practically cry
We do have similar characteristics of other partners
Having fun no matter how busy and overwhelmed we are and putting each other in our places when necessary!
And then there’s the crazy duo of Thelma and Louise , getting themselves into all kinds of crazy predicaments!
Wilma and Betty didn’t do much without each other – One always leaned on the other.
Kelly and I aren’t much different – Whether flipping through fabric books and accessory catalogs to designing a whole house to listening to each other’s problems, we are always there for each other.
Suffice it to say we are very fortunate to have this unique partnership. When one is weak, the other strong, when one is down, the other is up. It’s just one of those gut feeling, karma things we share. The goals for our business are so in sync, along with our work ethic, design style and mutual respect for each other. We love the work we do, having each other to share it with is just the icing on the cake!
