Have you heard of Furnishly??

If you like the hunt of buying second hand or slightly used furniture you're in for a real treat!!  There's a new kid in town called Furnishly.  It is an online site that is a marketplace for furniture broken down by city.  With Furnishly, every item on the site is hand-picked for quality by the team’s savvy designers.  The site covers a wide range of styles and prices.

Click here to read an interview with the owner, Bryon Finke.  He was looking for a large and specific marketplace that wasn’t heavily infiltrated.  He got the idea to create Furnishly after shopping for furniture for his new condo via Craigslist. “I couldn’t believe the volume of stuff that went through Craigslist. So, I was like, somebody’s gotta make something better."

Well, he sure has.  Check out the cities here!

The site is exclusively dedicated to the sale of second hand furniture.  There's nothing more exciting and rewarding than taking a really well made piece of upholstered furniture that has a nasty fabric on it or a beautifully carved wood piece that needs a fresh coat of paint to liven it up!  Needless to say, getting it for a great deal is icing on the cake!!  Here are just a few pieces on the Furnishly site that I would love to transform!!

From Atlanta

These 2 wing chairs sell for $75 (really?)  I would quickly recover them in this gorgeous fabric from Kravet!  How elegant would these be as host and hostess chairs in a dining room?

From Richmond, VA.....

I love this vintage dresser and would paint it in a fun color in 2 seconds!  It is only $30.  Is that insane?

I would paint it Obstinante Orange - Sherwin Williams SW6884

I'd add these wicked knobs from Anthropologie.....

Along with these cabinet pulls from Etsy.

If you don't already know about my love affair with orange and turquoise check out my pinterest board here.

So let's say you're just not that into the DIY thing.  There are plenty of choices of furniture that don't need a bit of work.  Here's an example:

This white triple dresser in solid wood with dovetail drawers only sells for $225.

Have a great weekend and stay tuned for more updates on our Room Service Atlanta project!!
