Designer Hints for a Perfect Bed
Not everything about design has to be top secret! We love to share little hints to help make your rooms look polished and it's great when other designers feel the same way! Caitlin Wilson of Caitlin Wilson Design and Textiles not only has amazing products and designs but she also has a GREAT FAQ section to help get your rooms looking spot on.
Are you ever staring at a beautiful bedroom in House Beautiful and wonder how they got that bed to look so cozy and full? How do you get that number of pillows just right? Here are two diagrams to help guide you in the right direction.
Option One- Perfectly Spaced Rows
For this look you'll need (3) 24"x24" pillows alternating fabrics, (2) 20"x20" pillows of the same fabric, and (1) 16"x26" pillow of a different fabric. Doesn't that bed look gorgeous?
Option Two- The Snugly Pyramid
For this look you'll need (2) 26"x26" of the same fabric, (2) 20"x20" of a 2nd fabric, and (1) 16"x26" of a third fabric. This one works best for a smaller bed, just add an extra to each row for a king!
It doesn't hurt that these diagrams are showing off Caitlin Wilson's beautiful fabrics and pillow collection. Here are a few of my favorites!
The Anchor's Away Pillow in Navy and Mint are a classy combination for a nautical room!
The Mustard Fleur Chinoise Pillow looks great paired with the Greige Zabeel Chevron and Mustard City Maze.
These Deco Pillows are pretty awesome, the coral is my favorite!
