Color Trends for 2014
Last week ADAC (a whole building full of design inspiration) hosted Sherwin Williams for their 2014 Colormix seminar to shed a little light on the inspirations for what are sure to be 2014 hottest color trends. I know, is it really almost 2014 already?
There are four groupings of colors that will flood the market next year all with an authentic, fluid feeling. The first group, labelled "Reasoned", is logical. This set is based on math, science, and good common sense. One of the sassiest quotes to sum up this group is "Gray is the new black".

Second up is "Intrinsic", a melting-pot of colors representing cultures across the world. In the words of Sherwin-Williams, "As the global melting pot slowly blends the world into one stew, there's growing interest in preserving individual cultural traditions- before it's too late."

The third collection is "Curiosity", filled with wondrous and mysterious vibes. This is, "a strange new elixir, where mad science meets fantasy, and sweet dreams overlap with feverish nightmares."

It would be impossible to forget the fourth set of color groups, "Diaphanous". There is an etherial feel that is soothing and inspiring. SW describes the collection as, "light, delicate, and translucent."
