Brizo Artesso Collection Wins Red Dot Award

Remember last year when I was asked by Brizo to design a kitchen showcasing Brizo's new Artesso faucet? Well,  Brizo's Artesso Kitchen Collection has just won the coveted Red Dot Product Design award for 2015. With nearly 5,000 entries from 56 countries this year, the internationally-respected Red Dot Awards are one of the most important design industry accolades. I'm so elated for Brizo!

“This esteemed recognition from Red Dot confirms the Brizo brand’s commitment to living fashion through high-quality, world-class products,” said Sarah Schlifke, Brizo product marketing manager. “Inspired by early 20th century metal works, the Artesso collection inspires designers and builders alike with its industrial yet refined form which offers a chic and functional focal point for the counter space.”

I'm still in awe that I was asked to be a partner with Brizo to celebrate this collection. Here's the kitchen I designed:

Here is my design in real life after the talented Brizo production team built the kitchen on a set so that it could be photographed for marketing purposes:

When you go onto the Brizo website and you search for the Artesso collection, you will see a photo from my design! I'm so proud:)

“The Artesso collection was inspired by everything from factories and forged metal to farming tools and inventions of the time,” said Seth Fritz, Brizo product lead industrial designer. “We wanted this design to work in a contemporary kitchen or a traditional kitchen, living as a statement piece in both environments.”

My colleague, NY Designer Tyler Wisler also designed a set for the Artesso faucet with a NYC loft aesthetic.  I love it!

Both of our designs illustrate the versatility of the Artesso Kitchen Collection.

I'm currently building a new home. There is absolutely no question that my new kitchen faucet will be the Brizo Artesso faucet (I currently have the Talo which I love but how can I resist the Artesso?)  My only decision to make is, do I go for the new beauty debuting this month?

Congratulations again to Brizo on winning the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2015.  Thank you again for allowing me the honor of designing for you!
