Serenbe Show House 2015
We took a little work field trip away from the office to visit the Serenbe Show House. If you're not familiar with this progressive community just south of Atlanta, check it out at Serenbe.com. As a friend coined it, "It's like Green Acres meets The Ritz".
At Serenbe's 900 acres, there are gourmet restaurants, horse stables, farm tours, a community theater as well as art galleries and enchanting shops. If you're looking for a getaway or retreat, The Inn at Serenbe is the place. You can explore on horseback, walk 15 miles of nature trails or lounge by the pool.
We were excited to see the 2015 Show House which was sponsored by Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, Monte Hewitt Homes, ADAC and The Bosch Experience Center.
The 3700 square foot home was designed by architect James P. Curran and features a timber frame, a broad wood-shake shingle roof and french doors leading to a spacious back porch with views of Grange Lake.
As you walk up the to the home, you are greeted by a gorgeous front porch designed by B.D. Jeffries. I especially loved the natural table and vertical garden.
The entry gallery, stair hall and powder room, designed by L Kae Interiors, LLC, were a true mix of new and old, antique and modern. Check out the vintage rug layered on top of a sisal one.
The blue feather wallpaper in the hall by Thibaut was stunning!!
Although the kitchen was fairly small, it was spectacular. Huff Harrington Home did a remarkable job! I especially loved the range hood and unique finish on the subway tile.
I absolutely freaked out when I saw the master hallway, bath and bedroom suite. Tami Ramsay and Krista Nye Schwartz of Cloth and Kind knocked it out of the park with the black and white theme (my favorite color combination).
The black and white charcoal drawings filled the hallway with a beautiful, museum-like quality.
An interesting slab of granite served as the wall to give privacy to the shower right behind it.
Circular bone mirrors, vertical vanity lights and well thought accessories added so much interest to the space.
The master bedroom was adorned with a fabric wall and sheer fabrics with a textured tape trim.
This vignette was a show stopper. The art and fabrics by Clay McLauren were perfect in the setting. The entire space had a whole tribal, textural feel, which is their signature look.
Another favorite space designed by Dillard Pierce Design Associates was the Terrace Level Bedroom and Bath.
The 40 x 40 piece of art available through Pryor Fine Art was the highlight of the room for me!
In the bath off of the bedroom was this stunning floor tile. It was even more beautiful in person!
The most interesting and collected room was the office by Jason Mitchell from Smith Boyd Interiors.
The space had such a moody feel to it and was so well done!!
There is still time to check out this marvelous house. The tour runs through October 4th.
