Rugs I love!

I've been doing a lot of rug sourcing these days and am blown away by the multiple options available.  Here are some of my favorites!

This hide rug from Calvin Klein is not only seriously sophisticated because of the contrasting hues and alternating hair direction, it clearly makes an impressive statement in a room.

Speaking of hides, how cool is this?  It is made in Argentina of intricately cut hides, expertly stitched together.  What a great way to soften a room. (yerra rugs)

Outdoor rugs sure have come a long way. How about this octopus rug near a pool?  If you want to make your deck, patio or outdoor space look more attractive, this is definitely the way to do it.   The weather resistance and ability to "hose it down" makes it a no brainer for the outdoors!!

We discovered this rug vendor in Highpoint and were really impressed  by what they do with vintage rugs or those in need of repair.  They cut, dye and stitch them into amazing works of art.   I just love the colors!!  Here are a few of my favorites:

Now that is "repurposing" in a whole new way!!

And finally, I'm always striving for beauty with "function" and FLOR carpet tiles are perfect!  FLOR is an innovative system of carpet squares that you assemble to create custom rugs, runners or wall to wall designs.  If your wine drinking friend or your dog or cat have created a serious stain that won't come out, you can easily replace the tile with a new one.  These are not your boring, commercial looking tiles, have a look!

What room in your home needs a lift?  An area rug is a great way to do it!!

Have a fantastic weekend!!
